Phra Kruba Krissana Intawanno was born in August 1, B.E.2497 (Year 1954). He is the 9th child in the family with total 10 children. Kruba took up the robes as monk under Phra Kruba Pu and follow him on Tudong to Cambodia and Laos. When Kruba was 25 years old, he received his Bhikku ordination on October 27, B.E.2522. His monkhood name "Intawanno" was given at that time. Kruba spent 10 years studied Buddhist holy texts and practice meditation in theforest which located in the Northern part of Thailand. In B.E.2532, Kruba resided in a cave above the Moonbon Dam in Khonburi. After 3 years, local people knowing about a great monk in their area thus they request Kruba to move the the forest and build the Wat Pa Mahawan (1st Temple). Facilities were built and a pond of water supplied as dug with the help and efforts of the local people. Kruba used the earth from the newly dug pond to make the First Salika Couple as sacred object of worship and bless by Kruba himself. After that, Kruba continue making his Butterfly amulet which actually a pair of Salika.

It was said that one day a butterfly flew passed while Kruba Krissana was meditating, Lord Shiva appeared in front of him and transformed into a butterfly (exactly the same form as what you've seen on the amulet) and he got his inspiration from there onwards for the butterfly styled amulets. Many held the belief from the source that Thep Jam leng or King of Butterfly amulets are actually Devas that communicated wicca to Kruba Krissana during meditation is from the Hindu Trinity – Lord Shiva (The Divine Destroyer). In the early beginning, his butterfly amulets were not easily accepted by the masses as this was a new image amongst Thailand’s amulet making history.

The legend of The Butterfly Deva, or King of Butterfly, better known as Thep Jam Leng, was said to be originate six hundred years ago in the spiritual realms of Cambodia. It was brought forth by white robed spiritual masters meditating in the forest. On the front of this amulet presented Maeng (King of Spider) and on the back has a Khruba Krisahna Intawanno locket, 2 takruts and his famous beautiful gemstones. He strongly blessed this Spider amulet. He use a lot of material in this amulet. He use his holy soil, 108 herbs and flowers powder, attached with beautiful gems, Mong Dam, oil, and so on. The Amulet smell very fine. He used long time to blessing and passed many rituals. An exciting flowers fragrance from this King of Spider amulet.
