Kruba took up the robes as monk under Phra Kruba Pu and follow him on Tudong to Cambodia and Laos. When Kruba was 25 years old, he received his Bhikku ordination on October 27, B.E.2522. His monkhood name "Intawanno" was given at that time. Kruba spent 10 years studied Buddhist holy texts and practice meditation in theforest which located in the Northern part of Thailand. In B.E.2532, Kruba resided in a cave above the Moonbon Dam in Khonburi. After 3 years, local people knowing about a great monk in their area thus they request Kruba to move the the forest and build the Wat Pa Mahawan (1st Temple). Facilities were built and a pond of water supplied as dug with the help and efforts of the local people. Kruba used the earth from the newly dug pond to make the First Salika Couple as sacred object of worship and bless by Kruba himself. After that, Kruba continue making his Butterfly amulet which actually a pair of Salika.

It was said that one day a butterfly flew passed while Kruba Krissana was meditating, Lord Shiva appeared in front of him and transformed into a butterfly (exactly the same form as what you've seen on the amulet) and he got his inspiration from there onwards for the butterfly styled amulets. Many held the belief from the source that Thep Jam leng or King of Butterfly amulets are actually Devas that communicated wicca to Kruba Krissana during meditation is from the Hindu Trinity – Lord Shiva (The Divine Destroyer). The legend of The Butterfly Deva, or King of Butterfly, better known as Thep Jam Leng, was said to be originate six hundred years ago in the spiritual realms of Cambodia. It was brought forth by white robed spiritual masters meditating in the forest. On the contrary to the new image, experts said that butterfly styled image amulets did once appeared back in B.E.2482 year and hence disappeared until recent years. This is because the wicca / ritual spells to invite the Butterfly deva or Thep Jam Leng was kept and known only by limited spiritual monks.

After some time, many devotees gave positive feedback on the spiritual power of the amulets in increasing luck and hence become popular in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and overseas. It is a common practice for Kruba Krissana to use NOT ONLY the holy soil from the temple, but also 108 sacred herbs, a carefully selected mixture of flower powder, holy powder, sacred materials and donated gem stones in the making of his amulets.
