Ajahn Tiew was born on 2nd December B.E 2502 in Tha Hin sub district (Tambon tha hin), Amphur Maung in Lopburii Province. He has 6 siblings and grew up in Loburii. Thus to say, many of the people of Lopburii province, especially Amphur Maung (center town district), grew up together with Ajahn and are familiar with him. Every year there would be a celebration celebrating his birthday in Wat Maneecholakan. For those interested to interact with other disciples of Ajahn, they are welcome to visit the temple on that day. On this day, Ajahn wil also sometimes distribute amulets to commemerate the occasion. Growing up, it is said that young Ajahn Tiew had alresdy been interested in magic, hearing from the elders in the village. Deeply interested, it is said that young Ajahn Tiew started by learning magic, katha, kom, from a white robe ajahn (kalawat) in Amphur Meung Lopburii. From him, he learnt how to write magic symbols, takruts, magic powder like pong itije, pong trisaranakom etc. Subsequently he went to find other masters to learn other knowledge liek removing black magic and making magical oil (nam man). Period roughly about 2516, about whe he was 14yrs old. After that, he ordain for 2 years as a young monk or nen at Wat Tepkunchorn, also a temple in Amphur Maung Looburii. If one is curious, one can also visit this temple. The temple is less than 2 km away from Wat Maneecholakan. The name of his preceptor (pra upacha) at that time was Luang Phor Maung. After that, Ajahn Tiew went to find Luang Phor Dum of Wat Sao Tong Tong (of lienege wat nang noo) almost daily, to learn how to write magical symbols for takrut. It was said that at this point of time..... Lp Dum advised Aj Tiew that mere writing symbols and knowing the incantations do not give power to takruts much. To properly supoort the power, he would have to learn meditation. It was then at this point of time, Luangphor Dum asked Ajahn Tiew to go visit the great master Lp Doo of Wat Sakae in Ayudhaya province to practice meditation or vipassana. It was at Wat Sakae that Ajahn Tiew had the same opportunity to interact and learn from the great pra prom master Lp Sie of Wat Sakae. It was said that Ajahn Tiew had to approached Lp Sie multiple times before he was finally taught the Wat Sakae linege of making pra prom. Thereafter Ajahn Tiew went to learn the art of removing snake venom from Luang Phor Pia from the lienege of Ajahn Fon dee sawang. Those who have visted Ajahn would have noticed that he has a photo of Ajahn Fon in his room. for those who didnt notice, next time please take a look.
It is said that because Aj Fon had passed away, Akahn Tiew had approached Luang Phor Noo Wat Beung Phra to learn the wicha of Aj Fon. After that he also went to learn from Ajahn Payoon and Kru EuaButsapa. Thus explaining the picture of Ajahn Fon in the kuti and also his lienege from the school of Ajahn Fon. At this point of time, Ajahn Tiew was still only a young man of 20yrs old only. Soon he will official ordain and go into monkhood. After he was ordained, Ajahn Tiew stayed between Wat Manheecholakan and Wat Tepkunchorn till his upacha Lp Maung passed away. It was at this period, he started learning wicha from Ajahn Gan, the younger brother of Lp Sie Wat Sakae. It was said that Ajahn Gan was expert at the art of making holy knives and payants, from the wicha left behind by Ajahn Heng plywan. Next, in year 2527, Ajahn Tiew woukd go to learn from Luang Phor Mahapoh of the great Wat Klong Mon. He was the grandchild of the famous Lp Yang Wat Nong Noi, who was in turn direct student of Lp Suk Wat Makamtao. Thus this was d linege and background to how Ajahn Tiew came to also obtain the lienege and magic from Lp Suk. In addition, it is recorded that Ajahn Tiew also learned from Ajahn Daeng who was the grandson of Lp Neung Wat Chulamanee. Thus also explaining Ajahn tiew relation to Lp Neung. Next, Ajahn Tiew wouls study from the grest white robe ajahn, Ajahn Thep Sarikbut from the lienege of Wat Sutat, Wat Klangbangkaew. In years 2543 and 2560, Ajahn Tiew subsequently received promotions in his monk ranks. Below is Ajahn Tiew during his younger days, already participating in big ceremonies.

Phra Phrom (The four-faced Brahma Sahampati) 四面神
Brahma Sahampati is an early Hindu religion dating back some 5,000 years. This religion is mainly symbolized by a trinity of Gods, namely; Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer. It is believed that this Brahmanical triad combined their powers to create the Buddhist world.

One of the earliest iconographic descriptions of Brahma is that of the four-faced god seated on a lotus. In Thai Buddhism this Brahminist 4-faced god is known as "Phrom Sie Nha ", but it often referred to by others as the 4 faced Buddha.

Thai Buddhists highly respect many Brahminist gods including the 4-faced Phrom Buddhism grew out of a culture which believed in many levels of gods, called devas. There were also the highest level of gods, the Brahma gods, and Maha Brahma, the highest God.

Indeed many Thai religious ceremonies are heavily influenced by Hindu ritualistic practices even amulet consecrations. Buddhism as a religion is deeply rooted in early Hinduism from which it developed.

The description of Brahma like other deities of Hinduism bears a mystic symbolism. The lotus represents the Reality. Brahma sitting on the lotus indicates that he is ever-rooted in the infinite Reality. Reality is the foundation on which his personality rests. The four faces of Brahma represent the four Vedas. They also symbolise the functioning of the inner personality (antahkarana) which consists of thoughts. They are the mind (manas), the intellect (buddhi), ego (ahamkara) and conditioned-consciousness (chitta). They represent the four ways in which thoughts function. They are the manifestations of the unmanifest Consciousness

The significance of the 4 faced God from the Thai perspective is that the Great Brahma is able offer help to the people who cry to him from all directions, granting wishes to those who ask. It is widely thought that Phra Phrom offers protection from danger and prosperity in business.

The most famous image of Brahma or Phra Phrom is located at the Erawan Shrine which can be found at the intersection between Ratchadamri Road and Ratchaprasong Road in Pathum Wan district, Bangkok, Thailand. It is a popular tourist attraction and often features performances by resident Thai dance troupes, who are hired by worshippers in return for seeing their prayers at the shrine answered.

Interestingly Lord Brahma is not popularly worshipped in India. This is so, because the idea of creation is repugnant to seeker of Truth since the creation of thoughts has veiled the infinite Reality. The attempt of all spiritual seekers is to destroy the existing thoughts and maintain the state of single pointed thought until the Reality is revealed. Hence, Shiva (god of destruction) and Vishnu (god of maintenance) are worshiped more than Brahma.

Phra Phrom will save you from black magic and the evil ones, brings you happiness, money and prosperity, help to make your good wishes come true, providing protection from danger, and endow the wearer with good luck and and fortune.

The significance of the the various objects held in the hands are:

1.Book signifies wisdom (Panna) leading to the right path to success
2.Chanting Beads signifies cultivation of good karma in the cycle of birth and death (Samsara)
3.Jug signifies ample water (wealth) where one would not be out of thirst opportunity to earn a living
4.Baton is used to discard all obtacles created by the evil ones
5.Shell signifies bringing luck and obtaining precious ones
6.Hand on the Chest signifies protection and safety
