Takrut Maha Rangab Prab Hongsa (Great Suspension Talisman), Phra Ajarn Tew, Wat Manichulakarn, Lopburi (B.E.2558 / 2559).

Made : 65 sticks

Size : 10.3 cm

Story behind Takrut Maha Rangab Prab Hongsa :
* Maha Rangab = to stop, to curb, to suppress / 降
* Prab = subdue / 制伏
* Hongsa here refers to Hongsawadee, the old name of Hanthawaddy, Burma / 虹沙国(古名) 也称为汉达瓦底王国

What’s the story?????

In 1500s, Burma begins its invasion into Thailand. The classic story surrounds the war between King Naresuan of Ayutthaya and the invading Burmese force led by crown prince, Mingyi Swa, of Hanthawaddy (Hongsawadee).

Heavily Outnumbered, King Naresuan took his force in a tactical bid to resist against the invaders. Riding on elephants, both leaders exchanged blades in the iconic elephant battle that took place in Nong Sarai, kanchanaburi in year 1592. Legend has it that during the combat, King Naresuan came close to suffering a fatal blow if not for the amulet blocking half of the deadly slash of his enemy, where he managed to counter and slain the Burmese crown prince in return. With the lost of their leader, the Burmese were repelled.

Takrut Maha Rangab Prab Hongsa is regarded as a kind of talisman. That has been bound to the beliefs of the Thai people for a long time with the belief that the Takrut can protect the owner or create charm and kindness for visitors to see. Which Takruts are generally made of metal, some non-metal, such as lead, silver, gold or copper, sometimes using bamboo or animal bones. When getting the materials as needed, they will write the characters by using a stylus to write the sacred incantation or tied as a talisman as desired.

The history of Takrut Maha Rangab Prab Hongsa originated most clearly in the Ayutthaya period because it was a talisman to hang on the body of King Naresuan the Great in his war against Burma by doing a battle with the Burmese by defeating Phra Maha Uparacha (Mang Sam Kiat). The Burmese army was defeated and disbanded. For this reason, most people call it the Takrut Maha Rangab Prab Hongsa or Naresuan Takrut To Defeat Hongsa traced to this day.

Takrut Maha Rangab Prab Hongsa, there is a way to create in detail soft and must be step by step. Starting from the inscription of the numerology, also known as the walking talisman itself. Walking a talisman is not an easy matter because walking one talisman requires completing one spell. By spell most of them are tributes to the Buddha. As for the Yantra, the Takrut Maha Rangab Prab Hongsa is unique. Specifically, it is like a plan separating rooms. Overlapping, surrounded by the amulet, the amulet of 30 virtues, and the amulet of 8 directions, etc., when entering the numerology.

When finished, it will be rolled into a round bar. There is a gap in the middle for stringing. When the roll is finished, it must be covered with Nur Wahn Yaa (herbs medicine powder), namely 7 types of amaranth leaves, consisting of suspension leaves, mimosa leaves, crunching leaves, alata leaves, grass leaves under the leaves, white kae leaves, smee leaves. When all 7 items are obtained, each of them is equal. Bring to start the fire, but do not turn into ashes or bring it to dry. Then grind it thoroughly and stir it with love water. Or steep rubber boat made into a Takrut pearl.

After finishing covering the medicine, it was taken to dry. Then use the rope or the raw thread is braided over and then lacquered and gilded to maintain another layer of the Takrut. In the consecration, it must consecrate until it is certain that it is a great suppression, a great suppression by the kind that must be consecrated. Until being able to spell and suppress the area to be quiet without any sound being heard, that would be the most complete chant.

Thus to say, many of the people of Lopburii province, especially Amphur Maung (center town district), grew up together with Ajahn and are familiar with him. Every year there would be a celebration celebrating his birthday in Wat Maneecholakan. For those interested to interact with other disciples of Ajahn, they are welcome to visit the temple on that day. On this day, Ajahn wil also sometimes distribute amulets to commemerate the occasion. From him, he learnt how to write magic symbols, takruts, magic powder like pong itije, pong trisaranakom etc. Subsequently he went to find other masters to learn other knowledge liek removing black magic and making magical oil (nam man). Period roughly about 2516, about whe he was 14yrs old. After that, he ordain for 2 years as a young monk or nen at Wat Tepkunchorn, also a temple in Amphur Maung Looburii. If one is curious, one can also visit this temple. The temple is less than 2 km away from Wat Maneecholakan. The name of his preceptor (pra upacha) at that time was Luang Phor Maung. After that, Ajahn Tiew went to find Luang Phor Dum of Wat Sao Tong Tong (of lienege wat nang noo) almost daily, to learn how to write magical symbols for takrut. It was said that at this point of time..... Lp Dum advised Aj Tiew that mere writing symbols and knowing the incantations do not give power to takruts much. To properly supoort the power, he would have to learn meditation. It was then at this point of time, Luangphor Dum asked Ajahn Tiew to go visit the great master Lp Doo of Wat Sakae in Ayudhaya province to practice meditation or vipassana. It was at Wat Sakae that Ajahn Tiew had the same opportunity to interact and learn from the great pra prom master Lp Sie of Wat Sakae. After he was ordained, Ajahn Tiew stayed between Wat Manheecholakan and Wat Tepkunchorn till his upacha Lp Maung passed away. Rian Arm Phra Phrom (Brahma), Nuer Ngern (Silver Material), Phra Ajarn Tiew, Wat ManiCholakan (B.E.2554).

Nice No. : 866

Made : 2000 pieces

Brand new, Unworn. Come with original temple box.

Rian Arm Phra Phrom (Brahma), Phra Ajarn Tiew, Wat Mani Cholakan, Lopburi Province. In the past, the people of Lopburi originally called it as "Wat Koh Kaew", the reason for calling, is based on the characteristics of the landscape that originated in the middle of Thung Phrom Maart, Mueang District, Lopburi Province, but Wat Koh Kaew. It does not have a recorded history that it was founded.

Later, the government changed its name to "Wat Mani Cholakan" has been upgraded to a royal temple. It is also a place of worship "Phra Chedi Luang Pu Saeng" which is said to be very sacred.
At present, Phrakhru Wimonyanudom or Phra Ajarn Tiew Thitawatano is the abbot. He is a famous monk who made many sacred objects of our generation which is very popular from many disciples and collectors. Especially auspicious objects in the form of "Phra Phrom (Brahma)". Almost 20 years ago, amulets in the form of "Phra Phrom (Brahma)" created by Phra Ajarn Tiew. It can be regarded as a beautiful appearance that catches the eye. It is also highly valued by the Buddha's virtues and majesty in the form of coins.
The last set of sacred objects of Brahma Phra Ajarn Tiew allowed it to be built in B.E.2548 (2005) and since then it has never been built again. Despite many requests for him, until B.E.2553 (2010), "Phra Maha Viratham Dhammawiro", Wat Yannawa, Bangkok, has requested the creation of a permanent object for Wat Nong Kham. Which is the hometown temple that still lacks many factors with both the sanas of Thai temples in America. Which is a branch temple that directly goes up to Wat Yannawa also need capital for maintenance. "Phra Maha Viratham" therefore takes respect and consults with Phra Ajarn Tiew. Ask permission to create an idol of "Phra Phrom (Brahma)", the holy god of the universe. To rely on the prestige of the Master and Lord Brahma to bring success to the Sanasana in Buddhism.
When Phra Ajarn Tiew considers that it is truly beneficial to the religion, the Sangha, and the public. He therefore had the mercy to allow it to be built as a special case. In this regard, Phra Maha Viratham created two types of Brahma, namely, Type 1 is a casting coin made of pure black metal, very beautiful. This Brahma coin amulet can be regarded as the real Brahma created by the "first generation" casting process in the line of "Ajarn Heng Praiyawan". Because when Ajarn Heng was still alive. He created only Takrud, Yantra cloth and stamping coins (Rian) only. The process of pouring gold Brahma-shaped has never been used even once. So this first model of Brahma amulet is truly considered to be the first in his line. It was also different than any of the Brahma sects. That are all with the pump method.
For this Phra Ajarn Tiew Phra Phrom Rian Lor, Model 1, Phra Ajarn Tiew performed a gold pouring ceremony in front of the Ubosot of Wat Yannawa by hand. Himself, every coin, every bouquet. As of Sunday, September 26, B.E.2553 (2010), around 8:09 AM, there were only 108 coins minted, and at this time it was quickly exhausted. The second type is an Rian Arm Phra Phrom (Brahma shaped coin). Which Phra Maha Viratham has appointed the craftsmen to create this masterpiece beautifully. And also collecting talisman plates and various (channuan) slates the most intensely. The more interesting is the (channuan) slate "Tri Rattanathikun Phra Kring", which is the most excellent ringing amulet in both content and consecration, one of the current generations, which Phra Ajarn Tiew created in B.E.2550 (2007).
The aforementioned "Tri Rattanathikun amulet" slate was summoned to be melted into the "Phrom Coin" in this set of nearly ten bouquets together. Both casting coins and coin pump. They are all concentrated with the (channuan) slate of amulets and various talismans. They are considered to be the new generation of Brahma coins that are complete with works of art. Intense magical with mass.
There are 108 pieces of Phra Phrom cast amulet made of Nawak Loha (9 types of Metal), while the Arm-shaped Brahma coin (Rian Arm Phra Phrom) has been minted. Total : 99 gold coins, 50 gold-faced pink gold (rose gold) coins, 450 gold-faced Nawak Loha coins, 450 gold-faced silver coins, 2000 silver coins. Scheduled to be consecrated as an auspicious day on January 16, B.E.2554 (2011) at 5:00 pm by Luang Phor Wilai, Wat Pho Ngam, Samut Songkhram Province. Single chanting is scheduled for a full month before the last ceremony at 3:19 p.m. on 18 Feb B.E.2554 (2011), receiving amulets on 25 Feb B.E.2554 (2011) onwards. The main purpose of creation this batch of Phra Brahma Medal to raise fund for the propagation of Buddhism, to fund the construction of permanent objects at Wat Nong Kham, Chakrat District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, and to build the Ubosot Sala at Wat Anantachin, North Carolina, USA.

Dhamma & Philosophy of life

好人不是从来没有做过罪恶的人,而是有感情的人。 感到内疚, 意识与邪恶, 感到内疚并且不会再次做恶。 那才是一个好人,愿你幸福。

A good person is not someone who has never been a sinner, but someone who has feelings. Feeling guilty, conscious and evil, feeling guilty and will not do evil again. That's a good person, I wish you happiness.

Phra Phrom(The four-faced Brahmā Sahampati) 四面神
Brahmā Sahampati is an early Hindu religion dating back some 5,000 years. This religion is mainly symbolized by a trinity of Gods, namely; Brahma the creator, Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer. It is believed that this Brahmanical triad combined their powers to create the Buddhist world.

One of the earliest iconographic descriptions of Brahma is that of the four-faced god seated on a lotus. In Thai Buddhism this Brahminist 4-faced god is known as "Phrom Sie Nah ", but it often referred to by others as the 4 faced Buddha.

Thai Buddhists highly respect many Brahminist gods including the 4-faced Phrom Buddhism grew out of a culture which believed in many levels of gods, called devas. There were also the highest level of gods, the Brahma gods, and Maha Brahma, the highest God.

Indeed many Thai religious ceremonies are heavily influenced by Hindu ritualistic practices even amulet consecrations. Buddhism as a religion is deeply rooted in early Hinduism from which it developed.

The description of Brahma like other deities of Hinduism bears a mystic symbolism. The lotus represents the Reality. Brahma sitting on the lotus indicates that he is ever-rooted in the infinite Reality. Reality is the foundation on which his personality rests. The four faces of Brahma represent the four Vedas. They also symbolise the functioning of the inner personality (antahkarana) which consists of thoughts. They are the mind (manas), the intellect (buddhi), ego (ahamkara) and conditioned-consciousness (chitta). They represent the four ways in which thoughts function. They are the manifestations of the unmanifest Consciousness

The significance of the 4 faced God from the Thai perspective is that the Great Brahma is able offer help to the people who cry to him from all directions, granting wishes to those who ask. It is widely thought that Phra Phrom offers protection from danger and prosperity in business.

The most famous image of Brahma or Phra Phrom is located at the Erawan Shrine which can be found at the intersection between Ratchadamri Road and Ratchaprasong Road in Pathum Wan district, Bangkok, Thailand. It is a popular tourist attraction and often features performances by resident Thai dance troupes, who are hired by worshippers in return for seeing their prayers at the shrine answered.

Interestingly Lord Brahma is not popularly worshipped in India. This is so, because the idea of creation is repugnant to seeker of Truth since the creation of thoughts has veiled the infinite Reality. The attempt of all spiritual seekers is to destroy the existing thoughts and maintain the state of single pointed thought until the Reality is revealed. Hence, Siva (god of destruction) and Vishnu (god of maintenance) are worshiped more than Brahma.

Phra Phrom will save you from black magic and the evil ones, brings you happiness, money and prosperity, help to make your good wishes come true, providing protection from danger, and endow the wearer with good luck and and fortune.

The significance of the the various objects held in the hands are:

1.Book signifies wisdom (Panna) leading to the right path to success
2.Chanting Beads signifies cultivation of good karma in the cycle of birth and death (Samsara)
3.Jug signifies ample water (wealth) where one would not be out of thirst opportunity to earn a living
4.Baton is used to discard all obtacles created by the evil ones
5.Shell signifies bringing luck and obtaining precious ones
6.Hand on the Chest signifies protection and safety
