**Made by old Jeevorn (monk robe) of LP Petch. Then with handwtitten Yantra. Inside contains the powder of Maha Rangab and painted with black lacquer. The head of the ring cover with Real Gold Leafs. This piece with extra Jerm Luk (holy white powder) apply on the top of the ring.

Luang Phor Petch (Diamond) had created and blessed many talismans. Many type of takruds, the sacred rings, etc. It was the sacred ring that became very well known among the disciples and all. It was so great that the ring was one of the best talismans of Luang Phor Petch that ever made. Devotees must sought after so that you will be protected from all dangers.

As you can see, the ring of Luang Phor Petch is highly respected and very reputable. This is due to the fact that the process of making and blessing the ring is so complicated, and not easy to perform. The art of making this ring was originated hundreds of years ago, and passed on to the successors throughout the decades. The origin, as noted, would be around the time of King Narai the Great of Ayutthaya Kingdom (1652 - 1688).

His reign was the most prosperous with great commercial and diplomatic activities with foreign nations. There were many diplomatic missions that were sent to France, and other countries. The diplomatic missions to France was led by Kosa Pan the minister.

In the olden days, traveling to a far away foreign land was a great expedition. They hand no idea what they would run into during the mission, so things must be prepared in all aspects, especially for protection from all harms. During the time, there were two very famous masters namely, Phra Vichajarnmontri aka Ajarn Chatri, and Luang Rajapreechaharn aka Ajarn Phirod.

They were requested to accompany the embassy, and had performed many supernatural arts (wiccha), and was rewarded by Louis XIV. These two masters were believed to be the ones who first created Phirod Ring. The name of the ring ~ Phirod, is actuallya common knot. The sound of Phirod implies that you would be able to dodge dangers and harms.

That is why the knot was used for the ring. The art of making this Phirod ring was passed on to each successors of the masters until Luang Phor Petch of Wat Pradu Songtham had got it.

Luang Phor Petch successfully learned the art of making the ring. The process is very complicated and not easy to do. The cloth that used to wrap a dead person (during the olden days) and now a days all are changed to be Jeevorn (monk robe) due to hygiene issue. Must be selected and cut into a long strip. Then the yantra would be inscribed on to the strip. The strip was then roll up and coil to form a long piece of string. The string would then be weaved into a ring with a Phirod knot on top.

As a signature of Luang Phor Petch, he would pulled up one end of the string to form a pointy top and some without the pointy top. The ring would then be covered with various holy powders and components. One of the components was Nur Phong Maha Rangab (holy powder). Holy powder that usually found inside of "Takrud Maha Rangab Prab Hongsa". This holy powder can stop everything or anything which are bad or will hurt the wearer. This Maha Rangab powder is believed can be escape and be safe from both dangers and misfortunes.

Then the master must recite the special prayers 108 times to bless the ring. The successors of this Phirod ring must follow the same process. Later on, many other materials were used to make the ring by other masters. Metal wires were widely used among the masters in the South and Central. This is because of the complicated process of the original art make it hard to follow.

People around the Ayutthaya area try to get a hold of these rings, for its power and protection. Anyone who wanted this ring had to booked and waited for several months before Luang Phor Petch would made the rings and go through the ceremonies. Being a rare item and irreplaceable, the exchanging price of the authentic ring had gone up. There were only a few masters who had made this type of rings on now a days. After the blessing, the ring is ready for used right away.

People can wear it on their fingers as a regular ring. The look of the ring is quite nice and very unique. Nowadays, being a rare and precious item, owner would put in a waterproof acrylic casing to preserved the ring and carry with the case. For the ring was made from the strip of cloth with a yantra inscription, it is actually a holy talisman cloth (Phrayant) in another form.

As you can see, the whole ring was made from a piece of cloth with no other material or metal frame. After the ring was formed then they would dipped into a lacquer to preserved and hardened the cloth. Jae Sena, one of the expert in talismans, had told that his friend, who is a policeman, likes to test all the power of these holy amulets.

One time he was testing the ring of Luang Pu Yim of Wat Nong Bua. He threaded the ring with a pencil and stick the pencil on the ground. He then use a pistol to shoot at the ring. The ring jumped up on the pencil every time he shoot the ring. However, I do not encourage any attempt to test these power, for we do not totally understand the holy power of these artifacts. As long as they keep you safe, it's good enough for keeps.
