The exact Biography, and details of his full life trajectory of Archan Tiang or Pu Tiang, are rather misty, and lost in the past, but we still know many things about this Great Olden Days Lay Master of Sak Yant Tattooing, and Master Amulet Maker. Despite the lack of Historical Documentation, Archan Tiang still has many thousands of devotees to this day who worship his amulets, coins, and photographs (Roop Tai) of his image.

If we look back to the 1960’s, the Name of Archan Tiang was then a commonly known household name around the nation, for in those days he was immensely famous for his Sak Yant Tattoos, and the power of Kongkrapan & Klaew Klaad Protective Magic he had Mastered. Archan Tiang’s amulets have always been popular with the Thai Military, and even stories of Miraculous Lifesaving events of Soldiers who wore his amulets have surfaced over the decades many times.

Archan Tiang’s Photos, and his famous Rian coin amulet are considered a Miraculous amulet, due to multiple news stories of life saving mysterious events with devotees who wore his coin amulet, or his photo. The Rian Archan Tiang Coin amulet is perhaps the most rare and most difficult to afford amulet of his pantheon.

Wat Khao Kong was located in Lumphoo sub-district, City district, Narathiwat Province. The temple is the location of the greatest statue of Buddha in Southern part of Thailand, called Phra Phuttha Thaksin Ming Mongkol. The construction of the statue was started in 1966 and completed in 1969. King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand was invited to fill the Buddha's relics into the statue in the opening ceremony in 1970.

Phra Phuttha Thaksin Ming Mongkol is the big size Buddha's statue with stunning characteristic, and it is located in the top of the mountain which makes the statue itself look elegant. It can be reached by catching the highway number 4055, and it is about 6 kilometers from the city district and Ra Ngae district. At the 105 kilometer post, the temple and Phra Phutta Thaksin Ming Mongkol can be seen at the top of the mountain.

The budget of the construction of the Phra Phuttha Thaksin Ming Mongkol is approximately five million Thai baht, the figure of Buddha is in the posture of giving a sermon or meditation. The length measure of Buddha's lap is seventeen meters and twenty-three meters tall. The Buddha's relics was brought from the four holy places of Buddhism and contained in the left part of Buddha's chest. The statue is made of concrete and steels, which is decorated by golden ceramics.

The characteristic of Buddha statue is under influence of Indian art, which can be found abundantly in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, so called "the style of Nakhorn Si Thammarat"or commonly named as "Ka Nom Tom". The unique characteristic of the statue is Buddha's costume is very neat and his body figure is quite firm.

Not only the statue, there is also the Buddhist temple and the bell-shaped stupa of Si Ri Ma Ha Ma Ya which contains the holy Buddha's relics standing within the same area.

The King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand was invited to the opening ceremony of Rian Phra Phuttha Thaksin Ming Mongkol, and Ajarn Num was the one who incited incantations over it by himself in 1968 at Wat Khao Kong, Narathiwat Province.

The rian (medal) itself came from the well-know performing ceremony, also the King of Thailand came to the opening ceremony by himself and many of the greatest monks during that time, joined together to create it. It can be said that this type of activities is rarely seen nowadays....besides there are only twenty thousand of rian (medals) were printed.
